Yağmur Güngör
Yağmur Güngör (she/her) is a facilitator, researcher, and healer dedicated to fostering a regenerative future. She is born in Istanbul, Turkey and her name means 'rain' in her native language. After spending five years in New York, she now travels the world as a nomad, immersing herself in diverse cultures and Indigenous Knowledge to inform her research.
Guided by a deep commitment to planetary healing, Yağmur’s multidisciplinary academic background in Economics, Social Entrepreneurship, and Liberal Studies from New York University has inspired her research on systems change, with a particular focus on the inner dimensions of sustainability and systems transformation.
Currently, she facilitates holistic workshops and programs that educate for sustainability and inspire life-centered worldviews. Her teaching integrates nature-based mindfulness, sound healing, and somatic practices to foster learning that engages the head, heart, and hands.
Yağmur is an Inner Development Goals (IDG) practitioner and faculty member at the Switzerland IDG Academy, guiding inner development towards sustainable futures. She is also part of the Life-Centered Design School team, supporting Thought Leadership and Community Building efforts to promote life-centered and regenerative practices.
Additionally, she serves as a Teaching Assistant for Professor Jeffrey Hollender’s Innovations and Strategies for Building a Progressive Social Enterprise class at NYU Stern Business School. For over three years, she has been supporting the next generation of change-makers in reflecting on systemic issues and exploring regenerative, equitable business models
As a Dandelion Fellow, Yağmur is part of the Nature Governance Agency and Earth Law Center's co-development journey for Nature Proxies—individuals who give Nature a voice and represent its interests on the boards of corporate, public, and private organizations.
Yağmur is a student of Patricia White Buffalo, training as a Shamanic Practitioner to integrate earth-based spiritual wisdom and practices into her work for individual, collective, and planetary healing.
She is in service to life and dedicated to systemic healing.
